The End is Near

First off an apology is in order. Is it just me or has this been the longest pregnancy ever? I think the fact that "any day could be the day" has really drawn this thing out. Looking back thinking that 32 weeks was perhaps the end really has made these last couple weeks extra long. So, Sorry about that. But on the flip side can you believe that it is now 37 weeks? That's considered full term. (which I attribute 100% to the power of prayer and a pretty amazing doctor) To celebrate we returned the preemie clothes that we previously had purchased.
Other things that are reminding me the end is near:
- I can barely bend my sausage link fingers for a good 2-3 hours in the morning.
- Blood pressure this week was 148/96.
- My bellybutton is sore.
- I go to the bathroom so often that Spencer has put me on a 5-square toilet paper limit.
- Vomiting has reoccurred, due to the shrinking space of my stomach.
- I dream about him a lot. That MUST mean the end is near.
- Oh, and I'm getting nervous...

Wait...you can't bend your fingers in the morning? Neither can I...I hope that doesn't mean...oh my gosh...hee hee!! Seriously...you look FABULOUS for 37 weeks...anyone who's on bed rest for 16-18 weeks...well...you have EVERY RIGHT to talk about the neverending pregnancy!! Can't wait for formal introductions!

That is so exciting. I can semi relate to you. I had Lexi at 38 weeks, so when Avery was born at 41 weeks plus a few days I was going crazy! Soon enough your little man will be here and we can wait to see his little face. Good luck enduring to the end!

Woohoo! Glad you're about to get your little guy :) You can hold this against him for the rest of his life! We just got back in town- If you're not having a baby this weekend, I'll probably stop by.

LOL! Spencer is so funny.. 5 square limit! I can't wait for your little bundle of joy to arrive sara! I swelled up the worst after I delivered Jett! I guess it was all the IV fluid but I totally felt like I had the sausage fingers! You and the baby are in my prayers for a safe and painless delivery! (unless your wanting to go natural?) I need your number too!! It would be fun to chat once in awhile just to tell each other about our babies and talk about momma stuff. Anyways LOVE YOU!!

This has nothing to do with your pregnancy, but I was telling Kierra, our 5 year old, that we have a talent show at our family reunion. She replied, "Dad, one time I saw this lady play flutes with stuff on her head while hula hooping." You're famous.

Hi there,

I came across your blog after a google search about TAC transabdominal and saw that you have had not only that, but a loss of a baby as well. I'm sorry that we have that in common. We lost our twin boys in Jan 2009 due to Preeclampsia, got pregnant again and lost our third son on May 31st due to Incompetent Cervix.

Due to the fact that I do have a cervix but have lost three babies, I want a TAC. My peri referred to the TAC as bulletproof and I so want that.

So I just wanted to connect with other women who have had it done and who have gone on to be successful with their pregnancies after it.

I invite you to take a look at my blog for more information about me and my family if you wish but I would so love any and all information you could send me. My email address is on my blog.

Best wishes to you and your family.
*hugs*

It just brings tears to my eyes. I am so happy for you...sausage fingers and all. It's amazing what our bodies are capable of! It makes us always realize that God is really in control no matter what we do.
Love you!

Sara!! I'm just a week behind you at 36 weeks. We just drove 16 hours to visit my parents in Kelowna. My feet and ankles are suddenly GINORMOUS and it didn't help that my crazy mother just tricked me into going on a big hike up some mountain. I think she's trying to make me go into labor while I'm here... seriously though, she's insane... please help me.
Good luck with everything! Can't wait to see your little guy.
