Cake

Look what we found in the dark depths of Grammy Orton's freezer...
   Look familiar?
We were only a few years late and it was surprisingly moist and delicious.
However, the same doesn't apply for the chicken we found marked 8/25/1999.

AH! This is amazing. I am so glad you actually ate it.

Your cake was so pretty. I can't believe you had chicken from 1999. I nearly dry heaved when I read that!

sometimes i wish i had a wedding cake so i could have a moment like that. Lucky for us when we lived at Allreds we had LOTS of moments like the chicken one.

Love you!

Over Christmas I did a little snooping around down there. I think the oldest thing I found was soup that expired in '96. I also found a birthday card addressed to Uncle Dave when he was turning 13. I wonder what people will find in my house someday?...

I have a general rule that I don't put food in my mouth that has been around since I was in 5th grade. Good call on the chicken.

Hmmm....traditions must run deep...I wouldn't have eaten anything that was sharing space with chicken from 1999...just sayin'!

Cool. We already froze, thawed and ate the top of Erin and Sam's cake. Solution for frozen stuff - don't put dates on them :)
