Spot the Difference

I used to love doing these little things...
I also used to have a diamond in my ring.

- Somewhere out there a diamond is literally in the rough.
- The whole entire setting, prongs and all fell off.
- The ring wasn't insured, and I have no idea where, when or how it happened.
- Many tears and hours spent looking haven't helped the cause.
- Spencer said he doesn't see any new diamonds in my future.
- And that is all I have to say about that.

Ooooh my gosh!! That is the most sad and tragic story i've ever heard!!! I'm so sorry! :( You should try talking to your jeweler! The place I got mine has a little waranty thing where if a diamond falls out or whatever that they replace it... because they check the prongs every time they clean it - so its kinda a "their responsibility" thing. You should see if your jeweler has any kind of deal they can make with you! And if you don't get a diamond in the future, get a CZ. Michael lost Melindas ring and bought her a new one with a CZ in it - can't tell the difference!

Ohhh no! First of all, it is beautiful without the diamond too.
But ohhh I am so sad for you. I hope a miracle helps you find it, or a new one!

SSSAAARRAAAA!! GUESS WHAT? SAME thing happened to me about 10 years ago. Oh, it is so sad. Just start a little savings account and every month just add a little. You will get there, don't worry. I was so shocked when I looked down and had an empty ring too. I actually had to have a jeweler cut the band off my finger. I always wonder what vacuum or couch has a diamond in it. He told me if you sleep with your ring on you will eventually lose your diamond. (I am commenting on Audrey's account) Aunt Diane

That's lame. The whole setting shouldn't brake like that. I would go back to the jeweler. I hope things work out.

Ok, now I'm Giving YOU a big hug through this comment!!

That is sooo sad!!!

I know exactly how you feel! Once upon a time I lost my engagement ring all together and we never found it. . then I outgrew my wedding band.
You've still got a ring on your finger and a great marriage. I agree with the others, it still looks beautiful without the ROCK.

Maybe you should look into getting a cz.

Oh that is just sickening. I am so sorry!
And I LOVE your hair cut. I too need one. Those post-pardom hair falling out are monsterous! Hopefully in a few months, it'll subside

WHAT? Wow. I would be MAD. Only thing that comes to mind are those little knit gloves--both my sister and I have lost our rings inside those--they are dangerous!

oh my gosh sarah! that is the worst news i've ever heard! i'm so sorry. i've had a couple of scares where i thought i lost my ring, but i've been lucky (seeing as how clumsy/forgetful/stupid i am). i hope you find it. but you probably wont, so i hope your husband buys you a nice big one once you're both out of school.

That totally bites Sara! My mom's diamond fell out in the Scera pool once. I bet your stomach just dropped when you first noticed it. I'm so sorry.

Oh NO!!!!! I can't believe this. My mom told me about it this morning (yeah that's right she blog-stalks you) and I was heartbroken. Sorry.

Also about Bri's goals. I wish they could come true.

Oh no! I am so sorry! That just makes me sick to my stomach for you guys. I hope you find it.
Here's a story that may give you a little hope. My mom had the same thing happen to her, and a few days later I found it (I was seven, so I don't remember much about this). I hope something like that happens to you!

Sucky-- so sorry! My diamond fell out of the setting the day we flew back from a cruise. As I was sorting laundry from the suitcase I noticed it was gone.... at the same time, John was sitting on the floor messing around with what he thought was a jewel from a kids toy.... yep, it was my diamond. So, you never know- it may turn up. I do think I would go to the jewelers and point out the whole prong part fell off--what kind of shoddy craftsmanship is that? It's not like you didn't have the setting checked (like me)- the whole thing came apart! : (

Same thing happened to me this morning sucks i also cried i luckily had the whole prong and diamond thought its very upsetting!

I'm so sorry, Sara. I lost my engagement ring, so I know something about how you feel. Maybe one day our husbands will be able to afford to get us new rings.
